This week the language arts theme is Let’s go on a trip. The spelling list consist of words with closed syllables with /S/ and /R/. The spelling test will be on Thursday afternoon. On Wednesday the students have a math test. Also, Wednesday is our library and reading buddy day. Friday April 20 is the field trip to Point Reyes. Please return permission slips for the April 20 field trip to Point Reyes as soon as possible. Let me know if you need another permission slip. As for chaperones we are doing well for both chaperones and drivers. I encourage everyone who wants to chaperone to return the chaperone sign up form. We will work to get all those interested to Pt. Reyes. I hope to finalize the chaperone list on Wednesday. On Monday and Tuesday Loma Vista teachers will be working in two-hour blocks to plan for next year. First grade teachers will have a substitute on Monday and Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:45 P.M. I do have a Spanish substitute scheduled, for that time period, but she also might be pulled away to plan. Thus I am planning to show the students a children’s movie from Mexico. Vamos de paseo
Esta
semana el tema para lectura y escritura
es Vamos de paseo. La lista de
ortografía consiste en palabras con silabas cerradas con /S/ o /T/. La prueba
de ortografía será la tarde del jueves. En matemáticas los niños presentaran un
examen el miércoles. Además, el
miércoles es nuestro día de ir a la biblioteca y visitar nuestros amigos de
lectura. Por favor de devolver el
formulario de permiso para el paseo escolar a Pt. Reyes el 20 de abril. Por
favor hágame saber si necesitan otro formulario. En termino de ayudantes
tenemos suficiente ayudantes y conductores, pero siempre animo a todos los que
quieran acompañarnos que devuelvan el formulario de acompañante. Vamos a
trabajar para conseguir todos los padres interesados pueden ir a Pt. Reyes. Espero
finalizar la lista de acompañantes el miércoles. El
lunes y martes, los maestros de Loma vista estarán trabajando en bloques de dos
horas para planear el próximo año. Los maestros de primer grado tendrán un
sustituto el lunes y martes de 1:00 p.m. a 2:45 p.m. Tengo un sustituto
hispanohablante programado, para ese período de tiempo, pero también podría ser
