Esta semana el tema de lectura es “El mundo de los animales” Para matemáticas comenzamos a estudiar el uso de datos y gráficas. El lunes seguimos con clase de educación física con el nuevo maestro. El martes trabajamos en el jardín trasplantando nuestros rábanos. El miércoles si tenemos una asamblea nos tocar cantar, después de mucha práctica los niños tienen muchas ganas de cantar. Bienvenidos/Welcome back

Bienvenidos después de la semana de vacación. Esta semana el tema de lectura es “En el cielo” Para matemáticas vamos a practicar sumas y restas, los niños van a presentar examen de matemáticas el viernes. El lunes vamos a tener clase de educación física con el nuevo maestro. El martes voy estar en una reunión de maestros de kínder y primer grado, voy a tener un suplente, Rosa Spangler. También el martes los niños va a prepara plantas de rábanos para el jardín. El jueves nos toca visitar la biblioteca. En el sobre del viernes voy a mandar el formulario de permiso para nuestra excursión a Pt. Reyes el 25 de abril. Gracias al PTA y el programa de cenar y donar no hay costo para este viaje. Siempre es necesario devolver el formulario. Si no tengo un formulario dando permiso, por ley, el alumno no puede asistir en la excursión.  Además, vamos necesitar acompañantes, a lo menos 5. Welcome back from spring break. This week’s theme for language arts is “In the Sky” The spelling words focus on blends with vowels and the letters /L/ or /N/.  During math we will practice subtraction and addition, the students will have a math test on Friday. Monday is our first class with the new P.E. teacher. On Tuesday I will be in meeting with Kindergarten and 1^st grade teachers from the district, Rosa Spangler will be my substitute. Also on Tuesday the children will prepare radish seedlings for our garden. On Thursday we will go to the library. In the Friday envelope will be the permission slip for the field trip to Pt. Reyes on April 25. Thanks to our PTA and Dine and Donate the cost of the field trip is covered. It is still necessary to return the permission slip, by law a child cannot attend if they do not have a permission slip. In addition, we will need at least 5 chaperones. If we have more than five, that is not a problem, we have plenty of space on the bus and some parents prefer to follow the bus in their own cars. Nota para la semana de conferencias

Esta semana el tema de lectura es ¿Qué tiempo hace?  Para matemáticas seguimos estudiando restar hasta 20 el viernes tenemos un examen de matemáticas. El jueves nos toca visitar el salón de ciencia. Toda la semana vamos a despedir a los niños  a las 1:30 para tener conferencias. Si gusten todavía hay citas disponible, se pueden poner en contacto con mi por correo electrónico  o mandar mi un mensaje por texto. No se olviden de visitar la feria de libros esta semana que será en la biblioteca. También esta semana tendremos los grupos focales. Nota para la primera semana de marzo

Esta semana el tema de lectura es ¿Qué hacen los científicos?  Para matemáticas seguimos estudiando sumar hasta 20 el jueves tenemos un examen de matemáticas. El viernes comenzamos a estudiar restar hasta 20.  El lunes comenzamos a trabajar en nuestro jardín, como el espacio no se ha trabajado en mucho tiempo vamos a comenzar con deshierbando. Normalmente vamos a trabajar en el jardín los martes por la tarde. Esta semana el martes a las 1:30 vamos a tener una asamblea especial de música Andina.  El miércoles estamos programado a cantar, un familia me a pedio que grabe un video, como ellos no pueden asistir. Necesito un voluntario para grabar los niños cantando el miércoles a las 1:30. El viernes el viernes pienso mandar las calificaciones. Si han pedio una conferencia la sección de comentarios va tener la hora de la cita. Si no pidieron una cita habrá unos comentarios. Si gusten todavía hay citas disponible. También si después de recibir las calificaciones desean una cita todo posible hare para hablar con usted. This week’s theme for language arts is “What do scientists do? The spelling words focus on diphthongs with ui, ie, ue. During math we will continue to study addition up to 20 we will have a test on Thursday. On Friday we start to study subtraction up to 20. On Monday we start to work on our garden plot! Since the plot has remained fallow for an extended period of time, we will start with weeding. Our regular gardening day will be Tuesday afternoon. This Tuesday we have a special assembly with Andean music. For the Wednesday assembly at 1:30 we are scheduled to sing, I have a request from a family to video tape the performance, I need a volunteer to video tape the students singing. I plan to send report cards home on Friday. If you requested a conference, your conference appointment will appear in the comment section. If you did not request a conference I have written comments. It is still possible to request a conference although times are limited. Arte del reciclaje

Como parte de nuestro tema de lectura sobre reciclar hicimos unos carros con material que reciclamos de nuestras casas. Al principio los niños tuvieron dificultada cortar la cartulina, pero aquí puedes ver como los fue. Gracias a todos por las donaciones de  tubos de papel higiénico, especialmente a Javier quien nos consiguió tubos a último momento para que todos los niños tengan un tubo.    

As part of our language art theme about recycling we made some cars with material that we recycled from our homes. At the beginning the children were challenged cutting the cardboard, but here you can see how they did. Thank you to everyone for the donations of toilet paper tubes, especially Javier who got us tubes at the last minute, so that all children could have a tube.
