Para la última semana completa de septiembre nuestra tema de lectura es estoy creciendo. La lista de ortografía se enfoca en palabras con las letras L y S. Vamos a escribir un narrativo personal y estudiar el orden los sucesos de un cuento, principio, desarrollo, y el final. En matemáticas vamos a practicar estrategias de suma y resta, como contar hacia adelante, dobles y formar 10 hasta 12. También usaremos dominós y tarjetas con dibujos para escribir una familia de operaciones de ecuaciones. Por favor regrese los formularios de permiso lo más pronto posible, por favor de no mandar el dinero hasta el día de la excursión. Necesitamos ayudantes para caminar con los niños al mercado de los granjeros. For the last full week of September our language arts theme is growing up. The spelling list focus is on blends with /l/ and /s/. We are going to write a personal narrative and focus on the beginning, middle and end of a story. For math we are going to practice addition and subtraction strategies, like counting on, doubles, and make 10 within 12. We will use dominoes and picture cards to write a fact family of equations. Please return permission slips as soon as possible, please do not send the money until the day of the trip. Chaperones are needed to help walk the students over to the market. Centros
La semana pasada empezamos en las mañanas centros de lectura. Tenemos centros de martes a jueves de 8:45 a 9:30. El lunes por la mañana los estudiantes realizan mini libros sobre la lista de palabras de ortografía. Quiero animar a los estudiantes a tomar sus mini-libros al hogar para estudiar, algunos los dejan en el salón, pueden preguntarle a su hijo si trajo a casa su mini-libro. Durante los centros me tengo pequeña grupos nivelados de lectura en mi mesa de lectura. Yo podría utilizar voluntarios en durante centros, voluntarios se sentaría con grupos o estudiantes individuales. Por favor, hágamelo saber si usted está interesado en ser voluntario. Viernes estoy enviando a casa un permiso para un viaje escolar al East Side Farmer's Market. Por favor no envíe el pedido de 2 dólares hasta el día de la excursión el 4 de octubre. I encourage students to take their mini books home to study, some leave them behind, you may want to ask your child if they brought home their mini-book. During centers I pull small leveled reading groups to my reading table. I could use volunteers during centers, volunteers would sit in with groups or individual students. Please let me know if you are interested in volunteering. Friday I’m sending home a permission slip for a field trip to the East Side Farmer’s Market. Please do not send the requested 2 dollars until the day of the field trip October 4. This week’s spelling list concentrates on vowel blends with letters /t/ and /d/ . Super Lector
Hay dos rutinas nuevas que vamos a comenzar esta semana. Uno es Super lector en que los niños van a llevar a la casa un libro en una bolsa de plástico. Los niños deben leer el libro cada noche para mejorar fluidez y responder al formulario o hacer la prueba de AR (Accelerated Reader). Es muy importante que los niños regresen el libro en la bolsa cada viernes. Como hay varias copias del libro la bolsa ayuda identificar quién ha devuelto el libro. También vamos a tener una lista de palabras de ortografía, cada semana, con una prueba cada viernes. Esta semana la lista concentra en los consientes de /m/ y /p/ con vocales. La tema de lectura para la semana es ¡Yo soy así! En matemáticas vamos estudiar cómo reconocer rápidamente cuántos objetos hay en una colección (hasta 10), sin contar desde 1. El viernes regresamos a la biblioteca, por favor de no olvidar de devolver los libros de la biblioteca. Dominós/Dominos
Deseo
que todos disfrutaron de la larga fin de semana. El martes comenzamos a estudiar la diferencia
ente ficción y non ficción. Vamos a leer el cuento de Corduroy y compara el oso
del cuento con un verdadero oso. En
matemáticas vamos a usar dominós para que los niños aprendan estrategias de
sumar y restar. Aquí hay un enlace a un
juego. Un reto es que los niños puedan poner los mismos puntos en cada lado del
dominó para formar el número. Si es posible poner la misma cantidad de puntos en
