Esta semana el tema para lectura y escritura  es En el cielo. La lista de ortografía consiste en palabras con sílabas cerradas  con un vocal seguido por la letra /L/ o /N/. En matemáticas vamos usar rectas numéricas para contar desde cualquier número hasta 120. En ciencia estudiamos luz y sonido. Como el enfoque para el trimestre es escribir una opinión, para Súper Lector voy a pedir que los niños escriban una opinión y una recomendación sobre el libro de Súper Lector.  El miércoles es nuestro día de ir a la biblioteca y en la tarde visitamos nuestros amigos de lectura. El jueves en la noche hay un taller sobre la cantidad de tiempo que los niños usan un instrumento de pantalla. El viernes durante el recreo del almuerzo es el Club de Correr.  En la próxima carpeta de viernes encuentran el formulario de permiso para el paseo escolar a Pt. Reyes el 20 de abril. Con el formulario de permiso habrá un formulario para inscribirse de ayudante.  El factor limitante para la cantidad de ayudantes es el número de padres disponible a compartir un auto.  No puedo garantizar espacio en el autobús.  This week the language arts theme is In the Sky.  The spelling list consist of words with closed syllables with a vowel followed by either /L/ or /N/. In math we will use numbers lines to count from any number up to 120. In science we continue to study light and sound. Since the focus this trimester will be on opinion writing, for Súper Lector I’m asking the students to write an opinion about their Súper Lector book, then give a recommendation. Wednesday is our library day and at the end of the day we will visit our reading buddies. Thursday night from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. a parent workshop on screen time will be held at the Loma Vista Library. Friday during lunch recess is Running Club. Looking ahead to the final trimester Friday April 20 is the field trip to Point Reyes. In the next Friday folder please look for the permission slip for the April 20 field trip to Point Reyes.  Attached to the permission slip will be a sign up for chaperones.
