Día de las abejas

Esta semana el tema de lectura es ¿Vamos de paseo? . Las palabras de ortografía son palabras con combinaciones  de vocales seguido por /r/ o /s/ .  Para escritura vamos a regresar a escribir un párrafo que expresa una opinión. En matemáticas vamos terminar de estudiar combinaciones y problemas de texto, enfocando en sumas y restas que faltan un número. Tendremos una prueba el miércoles. El jueves comenzamos a concentrar nuestros estudios en forma grupos de diez y cien. En ciencia seguimos estudiando plantas y animales esta semana vamos a usar granos de trigo para ver como crecen plantas. El martes es el día de las abejas, nos va visitar un apicultor para enseñarnos sobre abejas.  Agradezco a todos por su entendimiento de posponer el viaje escolar. This week the theme for language arts is Let’s take a trip. The spelling words are words with vowels followed by /r/ or /s/.  In writing we will return to writing an opinion paragraph, in response to a book. In math we will conclude studying combinations and story problems, we will have a test on Wednesday. Thursday we start to focus on forming groups of 10 and 100.  For science we will continue to study plants and animals. Our focus this week is on how plants grow. We will grow grains of wheat to learn how plants grow. Tuesday is bee day, a beekeeper will come visit us. On Thursday during lunch recess there will be a Running Club session. Also at 2:00 P.M. we will garden. I appreciate everyone’s understanding as the reason we postponed the field trip. The trip to Pt. Reyes is now scheduled for Tuesday April 18.
