Halloween

Esta semana ¿Cómo se ayudan las familias? es el tema de artes lingüísticas. Para Super Lector algunos estudiantes van a recibir una versión en papel de la prueba AR. El estudiante debe hacer la prueba en papel en casa y regresar con ello a la escuela para entrar en la iPad.  Si los niños presentan la prueba de AR no hay que hacer la hoja de Super Lector. No todos los libros tienen una prueba de AR.  El martes si consigo un suplente no voy estar en la clase.  En matemáticas vamos a practicar restar.  El viernes es el desfile de Halloween, debe comenzar un poco después de las 8:30. Al terminar el desfile me gustaría que los niños guarden sus disfraces, para no tener distracciones durante clase y proteger los disfraces. Por favor no visten los niños en disfraces sangrientos y no se permiten armas de juguetes.   Posiblemente el viernes vamos a una asamblea, concierto, de la banda de la secundaria de Kenilworth. El concierto es para alumnos quien van a entra a la secundaria pero como estamos estudiando sonido en ciencia seria una buena oportunidad de escuchar diferentes instrumentos.  También el viernes a las 1:15 vamos a hacer artesanías sobre Halloween y  Días de los Muertos además vamos a tener cosas para comer.  Aquí esta el enlace a quizlet con la lista de palabras de ortografía, la lista se enfoca en palabras con R y RR https://quizlet.com/_hd2in.  

This week how do families help each other?  is the theme for language arts. For Super Lector some students may receive a paper version of an AR test. The student is to do the paper copy at home then bring it to school to enter on the iPad. If a student takes the AR test, they do not need to do the Super Lector homework. Not all the books have AR test in Spanish. On Tuesday I may have a substitute. For math we will study subtraction. Friday is the Halloween costume parade, which should start shortly after 8:30.  After the parade I would like the children to put away their costumes to avoid distractions and to protect the costumes. Please remember no costumes with blood and no toy weapons. Possibly on Friday we will attend an assembly/concert from the Kenilworth Band. The concert is intended to introduce upper graders to band, since we are studying sound and how sound is made in science I asked if 1^st grade could attend. Also on Friday at 1:15 we will make crafts for Day of the Dead.
