Hemos llegado al final del año escolar. Esta semana los niños seguirán repasando la escritura narrativa. Para las matemáticas estudiaremos el sistema matemático Maya. Esta semana es la semana del espíritu escolar, la información sobre la semana del espíritu escolar estaba en la carpeta de viernes. El miércoles es el día de pijama, los niños pueden llevar su pijama a la escuela. Jueves a partir de las 1:30 P.M. tendremos una fiesta de clase. El jueves los niños se llevan sus cuadernos y útiles a casa. Viernes de 9:00 A.M. a 11:00 A.M. es día de campo. La escuela el viernes termina a las 11:50 A.M. Las calificaciones serán enviadas a casa el viernes. Si su hijo no va a asistir el viernes, por favor, hazme saber para que pueda enviar su calificación a casa temprano. Como se acerca el fin del año escolar, asegure de que su hijo devuelva todos sus libros de la biblioteca y súper lector. ¡Tengan un verano maravilloso!

We have come to the end of the school year. This week the children will continue to review narrative writing. For math we will study the Mayan math system. This week is spirit week, information about spirit week was in the Friday Folder. Wednesday is pajama day, the children can wear their pajamas to school. Thursday starting at 1:30 P.M. we will have a class party. Thursday the children will take home notebooks and class supplies. Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. is field day. School on Friday ends at 11:50 A.M. Report cards will be sent home on Friday. If your child will not be in attendance on Friday, please let me know so I may send their report card home early. As the end of the school year approaches, make sure your child returns all their library and Súper Lector books. Have a wonderful summer!

Don Quijote

Está semana es la última semana de Súper Lector y tarea. La lista de ortografía semanal consiste en palabras con vocales seguido por la letra  /C/ o /X/. Los niños van a repasar escritura narrativa. También, voy a leer a los niños extractos de la novela Don Quijote de la Mancha. Para matemáticas vamos a estudiando el valor de posición con monedas. En ciencia los alumnos están estudiando las estaturas de plantas. El lunes es la última clase de música y el martes la última clase de yoga. Como el final del año escolar se aproxima, asegúrese de que su hijo devuelva todos los libros de la biblioteca. Nuestra fiesta de despedida será en la tarde el jueves el 30 de mayo. El 31 de mayo es Field Day, una día con juegos divertidos. Tengan en cuenta la despedida escolar para el 24 y 31 de mayo será a las 11:50. Además, no habrá clases el lunes 27 de mayo. This is the last week for Súper Lector and homework. The weekly spelling list consists of words with a vowel followed by /C/ or /X/. This week the children will review narrative writing. I will read to the children excerpts from the novel Don Quijote De La Mancha. For math we will study positional value with money. In science the students are studying plant structures. Monday is our last music class and Tuesday our last yoga class. As the end of the school year approaches, make sure your child returns all their library books. The end of the year party will be Thursday afternoon on May 30. May 31 is Field Day, a day of fun games. Keep in mind that school dismissal for May 24th and 31st will be at 11:50. El Lazarillo

Gracias por todos los lindos regalos esta pasada semana. Para está semana la lista de ortografía consiste en palabras con  sílabas cerradas con /p/, /d/ o /z/. Está semana los niños van a tener una prueba de escritura. También, voy a leer a los niños extractos de la novela El Lazarillo de Tormes. Los alumnos están leyendo libros más largos para Súper Lector, no espero que lean todo el libro cada noche. Pueden leer el libro en partes durante la semana. Para matemáticas vamos a seguir estudiando el valor de posición entre el rango de 1-120. Los niños van a tener un examen de matemáticas el jueves. Debido a las pruebas estatales para los grados superiores, nuestra hora de la biblioteca cambiará esta semana. La clase visitará la biblioteca el viernes a las 1:30. Como el final del año escolar se aproxima, asegúrese de que su hijo devuelva todos los libros de la biblioteca a tiempo. El 17 de mayo voy a tener un suplente. Voy estar en la escuela, haciendo evaluaciones de lectura. Viernes en la noche de 5:30 hasta las 7:30, habrá una noche de diversión familiar sobre niños y pantallas. Thank you for all the nice gifts this past week. For this week the spelling list consists of words with closed syllables with /p/, /d/ or /z/. The children are going to have a writing test this week. In addition, I will read to the children excerpts from the novel Lazarillo de Tormes. Students are reading longer books for Súper Lector, I don't expect them to read the whole book every night. They can read the book in parts during the week. For math we will continue to study positional value between the range of 1-120. The children are going to have a math test on Thursday. Because of state testing, for the upper grades, our library time will change this week. The class will visit the library on Friday at 1:30. As the end of the school year approaches, make sure your child returns all their library books on time. May 17th, I'm going to have a substitute. I'm going to be at school, conducting reading assessments. Friday night from 5:30 until 7:30, there will be family fun night on children and screens.
