¡Feliz año nuevo! Esta semana corta no van a tener los alumnos tarea, ni Súper Lector. Por favor si su niño no devolvió el libro de Súper Lector antes de las vacaciones por favor de mandarlo a la escuela con el libro antes de viernes. Además los niños no tendrán una lista o prueba de ortografía esta semana. Para lectura y escritura en español vamos a estudiar el autor Mo Willems. Para escritura para el resto del trimestre nos enfocaremos en escritura informativa. En matemáticas vamos a seguir estudiando sumar y restar en múltiplos de cinco o diez. Durante ciencia los alumnos van tener la maestra Ortiz hasta el fin de año. En ciencia el primer grado va comenzar a estudiar luz y sonido. El viernes es nuestro día de visitar la biblioteca.

In addition, the children will not have a spelling list or test this week. For Spanish language arts we will study the author Mo Willems. In writing for the remainder of the trimester we will focus on informative writing. In mathematics we will continue to study adding and subtracting in multiples of five or ten. For science, Ms. Ortiz will now teach the students until the end of the year. During science first grade will begin to study light and sound. Friday is our day to visit the library.
