For this week the language arts theme for the week is Good Times. The spelling list consist of words with /pl/ or / pr/. For writing the topic will be A special party I went to. For math the students will continue to use a number line to add and subtract. In Monday’s homework folder you will find information on a reading program the district is piloting, kids A-Z/ Raz. I will assign students book from this program to use during language arts centers. The students can access additional books in Spanish and English at home, the assigned books are for use in the classroom. Parents can follow their child’s activity on the site, if you care to do so please return the form attached to the information page. The Kids A-Z/Raz is also accessible through the district website on the student page. I still need several permission slips for the field trip to the Luther Burbank center on December 8. We have our chaperone and alternative chaperone for the field trip. The children will take home their tie-dye tee shirts on Thursday, please have them wear them on Friday for the field trip. We will collect the shirts when we return from the field trip, in order to wash them for the Fun Run the following week. Please make sure your child has a shirt to wear for Friday afternoon. The Tk/Kinder/1st grade Winter Concert, is on Monday December 18 the concert starts at 6:30 P.M. Please have your child in the classroom at 6:15 P.M., nicely dressed, so we can be ready to go by 6:30 P.M. Scholastic book orders are due on Friday December 8. Las Posadas
Para
esta semana el tema de las artes del lenguaje para la semana es buenos momentos. La lista de ortografía
consiste en palabras con/pl/o/pr/. Para escritura el tema será una fiesta especial a la que fui. Para
las matemáticas, los estudiantes seguirán utilizando una línea numérica para
sumar y restar. En la carpeta de tareas del lunes encontrarás información sobre
un programa de lectura que el distrito está experimentando, Kids A-Z/Raz.
Asignaré a los estudiantes libros de este programa para usar durante los
centros de lectura. Los estudiantes pueden acceder a libros en español e inglés
desde la casa, los libros asignados son para uso en el aula. Los padres pueden
seguir la actividad de su hijo en el sitio, por favor devuelva el formulario
que esta con la página de información para monitorear el uso de su hijo. Kids
