Curioso/Curious

Esta semana el tema de lectura es ser curioso, las palabras de ortografía son palabras con combinaciones de /ue/, /ui/, /íe/, /éa/, /ía/, o /óa/.  Para escritura vamos a escribir un párrafo que expresan una opinión sobre el libro Jorge el Curioso. En matemáticas vamos a terminar nuestros estudios de geometría con una prueba el martes. Después vamos a regresar a Antártida para estudiar sumas, restas y cuentos con pingüinos. En ciencia seguimos estudiando luz y sonido enfocando en como se mueven olas de sonidos. El jueves es Club de Correr y Jardín, asegure que los niños tengan zapatos apropiado. El viernes vamos a ver un cortometraje y pintar un dibujo relacionado al cortometraje. El viernes para los quien no tienen una conferencia van a recibir las calificaciones. Por favor de firmar y devolver los sobres de las calificaciones. En la carpeta de tarea del lunes van a recibir el formulario de intento a regresar a Loma Vista. Por favor de devolver el formulario lo más pronto posible. No se olviden la próxima semana despedimos los niños a las 1:30 cada día menos el miércoles que será a las 1:50. This week the theme for language arts is Curiosity. The spelling words are words with blends /ue/, /ui/, /íe/, /éa/, /ía/, o /óa/. In writing we will write an opinion paragraph, in response to the book Curios George. In math we will finish studying geometry, we will have a test on Tuesday. We will then return to Antarctica to subtract, add and do story problems with penguins. For science we continue studying light and sound. Our focus this week is on how sound waves travel. On Thursday at lunch recess there will be a Running Club session and in the afternoon we will garden, please make sure students have appropriate footwear. Friday we will watch a short film and do a water color based on the film. Also on Friday for those who do not have a conference you will receive your child’s report card. Please sign and return the report card envelope. In Monday’s homework folder you will find the intent to return form, please return the forms as soon as possible.
