Esta semana el tema de lectura y escritura es Hacer cosas con Amigos. La lista de ortografía se enfoca en sílabas con la letra L. En matemáticas vamos a tener una prueba el miércoles. Para ciencia los niños van a comenzar a estudiar la luna. Va ser necesario tener tarea para ciencia durante el mes de octubre. Los niños van hacer observaciones de la luna durante octubre. Mascotas

Esta semana el tema de lectura y escritura es Amigos Especiales (mascotas). La lista de ortografía se enfoca en sílabas abiertas con T, (ta, te, ti, to, tu). Si su niño gusta puede traer una foto de su mascota para compartir con la clase. Si su niño no tiene una mascota pueden traer una foto de la mascota de un pariente, amigo o vecino. En matemáticas vamos a estudiar familias de operaciones. Para ciencia vamos estudiar el clima. El lunes voy a tener un suplente por un corto de tiempo para asistir a una reunión. Debido a la reunión vamos a tener educación física el miércoles en vez de lunes. Viernes es el día de equipo deportivo favorito, a los niños se les pide que vistan en la playera de su equipo favorito. El lunes en la carpeta de tarea van a encontrar el formulario de permiso para el paseo escolar a mercado de los granjeros. If your child likes, they can bring a photo of their pet to share with the class. If your child does not have a pet they can bring a photo of a relative, friend or neighbor's pet. In mathematics we're going to study fact families. For science we're going to study the weather. On Monday I'm going to have a substitute, for a short time to attend a meeting. Because of the meeting we're going to have physical education on Wednesday instead of Monday. Friday is favorite sports team day, the children are asked to dress in the shirt of their favorite team. La Paloma

Esta semana el tema de lectura y escritura es Donde vivo. La lista de ortografía se enfoca en sílabas abiertas con P, (pa, pe, pi, po, pu). En matemáticas el lunes vamos a termina con el examen. El examen toma tiempo porque la mayoría del examen es en grupos pequeños. Después del examen comenzamos a usar fichas de dominós para aprender a reconocer una cantidad sin tener que contar cada punto. El jueves es nuestro día en el jardín. También el jueves vamos a visitar el salón de música, con el maestro Levy, para tocar instrumentos. Si tienen playeras de Loma Vista, Club de Correr o Fun Run, por favor pidan a los niños que los usen cada viernes. La clase con mayor número de playeras ganara un reconocimiento. In math on Monday we're going to finish the test we started last week. The test takes time because most of the test is in small groups. After the test we start using dominoes to learn how to recognize an amount without having to count each point. Thursday is our day in the garden. Also, on Thursday we will visit the music room, with maestro Levy, to play instruments. If you have a Loma Vista, Running Club or Fun Run T-shirt, please ask our child to wear them every Friday.
