Hoot, Hoot

Esta semana el tema para lectura y escritura  es un día especial.  La lista de ortografía consiste en palabras con vocales seguidos con /b/, /bs/ o /ns/. En matemáticas vamos seguir estudiando sobre el tiempo y comenzar a estudiar cambios en patrones. Para ciencia vamos comenzar un unidad sobres búhos.  El miércoles es nuestra día normal de visitar la biblioteca, debido a las pruebas estatales para el tercer hasta sexto grado, tenemos que cambiar el horario al viernes a la 1:30 hasta las 2:15. También el viernes es el último Club de Correr. La fecha para la Casa Abierta y Concierto Primaveral, de primero hasta cuatro grado es el lunes 21 de mayo. El concierto comienza a las 6:00, pueden traer los niños al aula comenzando a las 5:45 P.M. Un formulario para ayudantes para compartir un carro para el paseo al Museo de Infantil será enviado a la casa el lunes.  Cada clase necesita a lo menos cinco ayudantes con un máximo de ocho. Debido a la capacidad del autobús necesitamos que los ayudantes comparten un carro. Para el paseo a pie a la biblioteca los padres están bienvenidos a caminar con los niños. Me gustaría tener un padre manejar con los almuerzos de los niños y nos encuentre en la biblioteca. sí los niños no tienen que cargar sus almuerzos. This week the language arts theme is A special day.  The spelling list consist of words with vowels followed by either /b/, /bs/ or /ns/.  For math we continue to study time and start to study changing patterns.  For science we start a unit on owls. Wednesday is our normal day to visit the library, but due to state testing of third thru sixth grade we will visit the library on Friday from 1:30 to 2:15. Also, Friday is the last day for Running Club. The date for the first to fourth grade Open House and Spring Concert is Monday May 21. The Spring Concert starts at 6:00 P.M., please have students in the classroom at 5:45 P.M. A chaperone driving form will be sent home on Monday. Each class needs at least five chaperones, with a maximum of eight for the field trip to the Children’s Museum. Due to the capacity of the bus we need Chaperones to car pool. For the walking trip to the library parents are welcomed to walk with us. A Descubrir

Esta semana el tema para lectura y escritura  es a descubrir.  La lista de ortografía consiste en palabras con sílabas con /cc/ o /x/ seguidos por un vocal. En matemáticas vamos comenzar a estudiar sobre el tiempo. El miércoles es nuestra día normal de visitar la biblioteca, debido a las pruebas estatales para el tercer hasta sexto grado, tenemos que cambiar el horario. Siempre estoy haciendo los arreglos para cambiar el horario durante el tiempo de las pruebas. Además el miércoles  visitamos nuestros amigos de lectura. El miércoles voy a mandar a las casas una solicitud para una tarjeta de biblioteca para el Condado de Sonoma, si su hijo tiene una tarjeta no es necesario llenar la solicitud. Para ustedes quien les gustaría que su hijo tenga un tarjeta por favor de llenar y devolver la solicitud a más tardar el lunes 14 de mayo. El jueves es nuestra última visita al jardín. La fecha para la Casa Abierta y Concierto Primaveral, de primero hasta tercer grado, se ha cambiado para el lunes 21 de mayo. Los dos eventos serán la misma noche. El martes tengo un suplente estaré en la escuela realizando evaluaciones de lectura. No se olviden del Té para la Día de la Madres el 11 de Mayo a las 11:00 A.M. This week the language arts theme is Let’s Discover.  The spelling list consist of words with syllables with either /cc/ or /x/ followed by a vowel.  For math we will start to study time.  Wednesday is our normal day to visit the library, but due to state testing of third thru sixth grade we will not be able to visit. I’m trying to reschedule a time to visit the library this week. Wednesday is also our reading buddy day. On Wednesday I will send home applications for Sonoma County Library cards, if your child already has a card it is not necessary to fill out another. For those of you who  want your child to have a card, please fill out and return the application by Monday May 14. Thursday is the last garden session of the year. The date for the first to third grade Open House and the Spring Concert has been changed to Monday May 21. Tuesday I have a substitute, I will be on campus conducting reading assessments. Mayo 2018

Esta semana el tema para lectura y escritura  es a trabajar.  La lista de ortografía consiste en palabras con silabas cerradas con /p/, /d/ o /z/. En matemáticas vamos a estudiar valor posicional usando monedas. El martes a las 1:30 vamos a ir a una asamblea para aprender como conservar agua. El miércoles vamos a la feria de libros en la biblioteca, la feria termina el jueves. Además el miércoles  visitamos nuestros amigos de lectura, vamos hacer oragami.. Viernes durante el recreo del almuerzo es club de corre. La fecha para la Casa Abierta y Concierto Primaveral, de primero hasta tercer grado, se ha cambiado para el lunes 21 de mayo. Los dos eventos serán la misma noche. Tenemos gran noticia sobre el próximo paseo escolar al Museo Infantil del Condado de Sonoma,  que será el martes 29 de mayo. El museo recibió fondos del club de Kiwanis de Petaluma para cubrir el costo de entrada al museo. El costo del autobús será pagado por el PTA de Loma Vista. Entonces no es necesario pedir una  donación para el paseo escolar, solamente necesitamos el formulario de permiso. Deseo mandar los formularios a casa pronto. Estoy haciendo los arreglos para tener un paseo escolar a la biblioteca de Petaluma el miércoles 30 de mayo. Caminaremos a la biblioteca con nuestros amigos de lectura. This week the language arts theme is Let’s Work.  The spelling list consist of words with closed syllables with either /p/, /d/ or /z/. The students will also begin the district writing test. In math we will use coins to learn about place value.  Tuesday at 1:30 we will attend an assembly to learn about conserving water. Wednesday we will visit the book fair at the library, the book fair ends on Thursday. Wednesday is also our reading buddy day, the students will do origami with their buddies. Friday during lunch recess is running club. The date for the first to third grade Open House and the Spring Concert has been changed to Monday May 21.  Both events will occur on the same night. We have great news about our next field trip to the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County, which will be Tuesday May 29. The museum received funding from the Petaluma Kiwanis club to cover entrance fees to the Children’s Museum for Petaluma schools. The cost of the bus will be paid by the Loma vista PTA. Therefore, we will not be asking for a donation for the field trip, permission slips will be needed. I hope to send permission home soon. I am also working on a walking field trip with our reading buddies to the Petaluma library for Wednesday May 30.  Don’t forget Mother’s Day tea on Friday May 11 at 11:00 A.M.
