find another permission slip for the filed trip to Point Reyes National
Seashore. The field trip is Friday April 7. Everyone is welcomed to chaperone, but
depending on the capacity of the bus we might need some chaperones to carpool. At
this early date the forecast is for rain on Friday. A possibility exists that we may need to postpone the trip. A
decision will be made in consultation with Mr. River, principal Arvizu and the
district transportation department. As soon as a decision is made we will
advise parents. The book fair continues until April 4. Here is the link for the spelling list on

a regresar a Loma Vista.

In writing we will write an opinion paragraph, in response to the movie the Red Balloon. In math we will continue to subtract, add and do story problems with penguins. In addition we will learn to tell time. The first grade standard is to be able to tell time on the hour and half hour. For science we continue studying light and sound. As this is conference week school is out everyday at 1:30, except on Wednesday when we dismiss students at the regular time of 1:50. For those who received their child’s report card please sign and return the envelope. If you have not sent back the intent to return forms, please return them as soon as possible. I suggest you write your child’s name on their sweatshirt or sweater. With cool mornings and sunny afternoons the children tend to take them off on the playground and forget them. I have a number of personal items, which I will place on the backpack hooks before sending them to lost and found. There is no school the week of March 20.
