Point Reyes

La tema de lectura de la semana es En el cielo.  Vamos a leer sobre el espacio y las planetas.  Las palabras de ortografía  son palabras con sílabas cerradas con /l/ y /n/.

Para matemáticas estamos aprendiendo como construir formas después  desarmar las formas. También estamos aprendiendo sobre fracciones simples.  Gracias a ustedes quien han devuelto el permiso y dinero para la excursión del viernes. Voy a mandar otro formulario a las familias quien no han devuelto el permiso.  Por favor de mandar el permiso con el dinero a más tardar el jueves. Además necesito saber el miércoles si van a necesitar que la cafetería prepare un almuerzo de bolsa.  Como salimos a las 8:45 el viernes, es muy importante que los niños lleguen a tiempo a las escuela el viernes. Tenemos suficiente ayudantes, pero todos padres quien desean venir están bienvenidos.  Hay limitado espacio en el autobús, si es necesario los padres pueden compartir transporte en auto. Otra opción si no pueden estar todo el día con nosotros, pueden juntarse con la clase en Point Reyes, y salir temprano. La próxima oportunidad para asistir a  una excursión será el 11 de mayo en el Museo Schulz. Como no vamos estar en la escuela el viernes, vamos a ir a la biblioteca el jueves. The theme for language arts this week is in the sky.  We will read about space and the planets. The spelling words are words with closed syllables with either leter /L/ or /N/.  For math we are learning how to put shapes together and take them apart, along with learning about simple fractions. Thank you to those who have returned the permission slip and money for Friday’s field trip. Those who have not returned the slip I will be sending another one home on Monday. Please return the permission slip and money no later than Thursday. Also if you need to have the cafeteria prepare a sack lunch let me know by Wednesday.  As we leave at 8:45 on Friday it is important that children arrive on time to school. We have sufficient chaperones, but all parents are welcomed to come with us.  We have limited seating on the bus, thus we may need parents to carpool.  Another option for those parent who cannot join us for the entire day, you can meet us at Pt. Reyes and spend part of the day with us. The next opportunity to attend a filed trip will be on May 11 at the Schulz Museum. Since we are not at school on Friday we will be checking out books from the library on Thursday. Please return books on Thursday. Deseo que todos disfrutaron de las vacaciones.  La tema de lectura de la semana es ¿Qué tiempo hace?  Vamos a leer sobre el tiempo y las temporadas.  Las palabras de ortografía  son palabras con /dr/, /tl/ o /tr/. Para matemáticas estamos aprendiendo como construir formas después  desarmar las formas.  Esta semana voy a mandar el formulario de permiso para la excursión a Pt. Reyes que será el  viernes 8 de abril. Los niños van a necesitar llevar un almuerzo, si necesitan que la cafetería prepare uno para su niño dime a más tardar el miércoles 6 de abril para dar tiempo suficiente a la cafetería que prepare los almuerzos.  Todos los padres quien puedan y gustan acompañar la clase son bienvenidos. Hay limitado espacio en el autobús, si es necesario los padres pueden compartir transporte en auto. The spelling words are words with /DR /, / TR /, or/TL/.  For math we are learning how to put shapes together and take them apart. This week I’m sending the permission slip for the Pt. Reyes field trip, which will be Friday April 8. The children will need to bring a lunch. If you would like the cafeteria to prepare a lunch for your child please let me know by Wednesday April 6. I need to give the cafeteria time to prepare the lunches.  We will need chaperones and all parents are welcomed to come with us.  We have limited seating on the bus, thus we may need parents to carpool. Semana de conferencias/Conference Week

La tema de lectura de la semana es ¿Qué hacen los científicos?  Vamos a leer sobre Ben Franklin.  Las palabras de ortografía  son palabras con diptongos /ie/, /ui/ o /ue/. Para matemáticas estamos aprendiendo como decir la hora. Durante la semana de conferencias el 14 de marzo hasta el 18, despedimos los niños a las 1:30. Gracias a todos quien devolvieron el dinero y permiso para la excursión.  Por favor si no han devuelto el formulario de permiso lo necesito si no el alumno no puede ir a la excursión.  Si necesitan ayuda con hacer el pago para la excursión por favor hablen conmigo.  Los niños van a necesitar llevar un almuerzo, si necesitan que la cafetería prepare un para su niño dime a más tardar el lunes. Agradezco los padres quien van ayudar en esta excursión, tenemos cuarto y hay una lista de espera para padres quien desean ayudar. Otras oportunidades para asistir a excursiones serán el 8 de abril y el 11 de mayo. No hay clases la semana de 21 de marzo hasta el 25 de marzo. The theme of the week's reading is what do scientists do?  We will read about Ben Franklin. The spelling words are words with diphthongs/EI /, / IU /, or/EU.  For math we are learning how to tell time. During conference week on March 14 to 18, we dismiss the children at 1:30. Thanks to all who returned the money and permission slip for the field trip. If you have not returned the permission slip, I need it if not the student can come on the field trip. If you need help with making the payment for the field trip please talk with me. Children will need to bring a lunch, if you need the cafeteria to prepare a lunch for your child let me know, no later on Monday. Thank you to the parents who going help on this field trip we have the necessary chaperones and a waiting list of potential chaperones.
