Semana de conferencias/ Conference Week

Seguimos con conferencias esta semana, todos los días vamos a despedir los niños a las 1:30 P.M. Lectura vamos practicar la comprensión. En matemáticas comenzamos a estudiar restar hasta 12. La excursión del 4 de diciembre va ser por autobús público voy necesitar a lo menos tres ayudantes para asistir los niños.   Por favor si no pueden llegar a tiempo para su conferencia llámenme o avisa la oficina, (707) 765-4302. We continue with conferences this week school will be out every day at 1:30 P.M. For language arts we will focus on comprehension. For math we will begin studying subtraction up to 12. Thefield trip on December 4 is by public transportation we will need at least three chaperones. Semana corta/ Short week

Como esta semana es corta no vamos a tener una lista de ortografía. En lectura vamos a hacer un repaso del material del primer trimestre. Para matemáticas vamos a seguir estudiando sumar hasta 12, vamos a tener un examen el viernes. La próxima semana comenzamos a estudiar restar hasta 12. No se olviden que esta semana despedimos a los niños como costumbre el miércoles 12 de noviembre a las 2:00 P.M. Después del miércoles la despedida será a las 1:30 P.M., incluyendo cada día de la próxima semana. La razón por salir de la escuela temprano es que vamos a tener conferencias con los padres. Por favor si no pueden llegar a tiempo para su conferencia llámenme o avisa la oficina, (707) 765-4302.  

As this is a short week we will not have a spelling list. For language arts we will use the three days to review. For math we will finish studying addition up to 12, we will have a test on Friday. Next week we will begin to study subtraction up to 12. Don’t forget that on Wednesday November 12 school is out at 2:00 P.M. after that day school, including all of next week, is out at 1:30 P.M. The reason for the early departure is so that we can have parent conferences. If you cannot make it to your conference on time please contact me or call the office at (707) 765-4302.

Esta semana el martes tenemos nuestra visita a la escuela Sonoma Mountain para escuchar el autor Mac Barnett. Si no han devuelto el formulario de permiso por favor de hacer lo más pronto posible. Gracias a todos quien ayudaron con la excursión al Centro de Arte de Petaluma.  Por la primera vez los alumnos de primer grado van a tomar un examen del distrito en matemáticas. Quiero que los niños presenten este examen la primera parte de la semana. Además en matemáticas vamos a terminar de estudiar la relación entre 5 y 10. El próximo tema para matemáticas es sumas hasta 12 incluyendo dobles y casi dobles. This week on Tuesday we visit Sonoma Mountain School to hear author Mac Barnett, if you have not returned your permission slip please do so as soon as posible. Thanks to everyone who helped out on the field trip to the Petaluma Art Center. For the first time all first graders in the district will take a district math test. I hope to have the students take the test in the early part of the week.   For math we will finish studying  the relationship between 5 and 10.  Our next unit for math will be on adding up to 12 including doubles and near doubles. Esta semana tenemos nuestra visita al Museo de Arte de Petaluma. Si no han devuelto el formulario de permiso por favor de hacer lo.  La próxima semana también tenemos una excursión para escuchar el autor Mac Barnett. El viernes es nuestro día de ir a la biblioteca, la bibliotecaria nos va a leer un libro escrito por Mac Barnett.  El martes, jueves, y viernes van hacer nuestros días de educación física.  En matemáticas seguimos estudiando la relación entre 5 y 10.  Esta semana las palabras de ortografía son con r y rr. This week is our visit to the Petaluma Museum of Art, if you have not returned your permission slip please do so. The following week we also have a field trip to go hear author Mac Barnett. On Friday the librarian will read us a story written by Mac Barnett. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are going to be our days for P.E.  For math we continue to study the relationship between 5 and 10. Por favor asegure que los niños lleguen el lunes a la escuela con su objeto para la prueba de escritura. Desde el lunes van a comenzar a presentar la prueba, me gustaría que terminen el martes, después de nuestra cita para tomar las fotografías de la clase. Nuestra cita es el martes a las 9:00 A.M. El tema de lectura es las familias de los animales. En matemáticas vamos a terminar de estudiar restar y presentar el examen el jueves. El viernes comenzamos a estudiar la relación entre 5 y 10. No se olviden de entregar el permiso para la excursión escolar al museo de arte de Petaluma, el 29 de octubre. Please make sure the children arrive to school on Monday with an object for the district writing test. Starting on Monday the children will start to prepare for the test, I would like to finish the test after our appointment for school pictures. Our time for taking our class picture is Tuesday at 9:00 A.M. This week’s theme for language arts is animal families. This week’s spelling list focuses on F and CH. Descripción/Description

Esta semana los niños se van a preparar para el examen de escribir del distrito escolar. El viernes los estudiantes van a regresar a la casa con una bolsa de papel. El lunes cuando regresen a la escuela por favor de tener un objeto en la bolsa para que los niños puedan escribir una descripción del objeto. El objeto debe ser algo que tenga detalles y le interesa al niño. El objeto se quedara en el salón por tres días mientras los alumnos escriben una descripción. Para practicar para el examen pida que sus ni`nos describan objetos en la casa. El lunes en matemáticas vamos a estudiar restar hasta 12. El martes de 1:30 a 2:00 tenemos una asamblea para la semana de la cinta roja contra el abuso de drogas. El tema de lectura es jugar en equipo.  Esta semana las palabras de ortografía son con V y Ñ. This week the children are going to prepare for the district writing test. On Friday they will come back home with a paper bag. Please return to school on Monday with an object in the bag that the children can write a description. The object should have details and features of interest to your child so that he may be able to write a description. The object will remain in school for three days as the children write their description. To help your child you may ask them to describe objects around the house. On Monday we study subtraction up to number 12. The language art theme is team work. The spelling words focus on V and Ñ.  On Tuesday at 1:30 is the Red Ribbon week no to drug abuse assembly.
