Una semana muy diferente
This week we will not begin a new unit from our reading textbook, since this week’s routines will be very different. We will leave the next unit for the following week. The spelling words will be a review of the words of the previous weeks. In math we will study numbers up to 120 and compare two digit numbers. In science we will begin studying bulbs. On Monday in the homework folder some will find the permission form for the field trip on May 11. I am missing eight permission slips. We have four chaperones to join us to the Schultz Museum. If you're still interested in being a chaperone you can be put on the waiting list. Children will need a bag lunch, if you prefer the cafeteria to prepare a lunch for your child let me know no latter than Tuesday. On Tuesday in the cafeteria we have a musical rehearsal at 10:45 A.M. for the nighttime concert. If you cannot come at 6:30 P.M. you may attend the rehearsal. That night, I'd like to have children in the classroom at 6:15 to get ready. Please bring the students in dressy clothes. Tuesday at 2:00 on May 10 we will also have our mother's day tea, with the children from kindergarten. All are invited especially mothers. If you cannot make it, grandmothers or aunts can gladly attend. In the homework folder you are going to see a parent report on the STAR mathematics test. You don't need to sign it and return it. In the comments I have indicated the corresponding grade level, the test was taken in the seventh month of first grade, thus a score of 1.7 indicates grade level. Finally we won the pizza party! We are going to eat pizza with Ms. Ruiz’s class on Friday around 11:10. Friday’s school dismissal is at 11:50 A.M. This week there is no link to quizlet.
